You may have noticed that it's been more than a "minute" since you heard from me. After checking my records, I see that it's actually been two years! I guess I could bore you with talk about the economy and hard times for artists, Yadda yadda yadda, but what would be the point? Let's just keep it moving, and cut to the GOOD stuff! Bassist/Vocalist, Mimi Jones (aka Miriam Sullivan) has released her debut CD entitled, "A New Day." I'm probably slightly biased (she's been the bassist for my group for several years), but I can't say enough wonderful things about this new release. Mimi is a fine musician and composer, and a beautiful person (inside and out.) But what many don't know is that she's a fine vocalist as well.
"A NEW DAY" showcases Ms. Jones' various talents as well as those of the other musicians featured on this disc, including Miki Hayama (piano), Marvin Sewall (gtr) and a host of others.
