Mala Waldron

This will be the first time Mala Waldron & The Soulful Sound Quartet performs in the Harlem Jazz Series. The group has been performing together for 20 years and features guitarist, Steve Salerno, Michael T.A. Thompson (drums) & Marcus Mclaurine on bass. The evening will include renditions of Mala's originals from her recordings (including new unreleased material) as well as her arrangements of standards and covers written by some of her favorite composers including Horace Silver, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach and Sting among others.
